Mauka Warriors Luau invites guests to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of Polynesian culture against a stunning backdrop overlooking the Honolulu skyline and Diamond Head. Before the main event begins, visitors can participate in engaging pre-show activities that include headband weaving, hand-drawn tattoos, hula lessons, Maori poi ball lessons, Kava tasting, coconut cracking and shredding, mini golf, and cooking demonstrations. These hands-on experiences offer an intimate connection to island traditions while guests mingle with the performers who will soon take the stage.
The evening features an all-you-can-eat Hawaiian luau feast showcasing a diverse selection of traditional island delicacies. As dinner concludes, the stage comes alive with a cultural journey through the islands of Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji, Tahiti, and the Cook Islands, featuring live music, traditional dancing, and portrayals of warrior history complete with battle re-enactments. The celebration honors the forgotten heroes of Oahu and builds to a thrilling finale with the exciting fire-knife dance tradition. Locally owned and operated by members of the Polynesian community and the US military, Mauka Warriors Luau delivers an authentic evening of cultural celebration and entertainment.
