Hawaiian Activities isn’t just a booking website — we’re a small, passionate ohana that lives and breathes the Hawaiian islands. Founded by Jeff Gitlin, a former Lahaina, Maui resident who has spent over 25 years working in Hawaii as a show producer, cultural educator, and tour operator, our company was born from a simple belief: everyone deserves to experience the magic of Hawaii without breaking the bank.

Jeff didn’t just visit Hawaii — he made it home. Over two and a half decades, he’s produced live shows across the islands, taught visitors the art of lei making and hula dancing, led star tours under Hawaiian skies, shared the history and legends of the islands through torch lighting ceremonies, and developed a deep connection to the land, the culture, and the people. That firsthand experience is baked into everything we recommend.

Alongside Co-Founder Craig Halye, a marketing veteran with over 35 years of experience, we built Hawaii Activities to be the kind of company we’d want to book with ourselves — one that knows the islands inside and out, offers genuinely great prices, and treats every guest like family.
