Drums & Dances of Polynesia Luau welcomes guests with a fresh lei greeting before an evening celebrating the rich history and culture of Polynesia through authentic stories and dances. The experience unfolds against the stunning natural backdrop of Kalapaki Bay, where the ocean meets the mountains of Kauai. A preshow featuring Hawaiian music performed by Keli’i Kaneali’i and hula by Elisha Kaneali’i sets the tone before the main event, where powerful drummers accompany mesmerizing performances that bring Polynesian traditions to life.
The dinner buffet showcases a thoughtful blend of Hawaiian and Polynesian cuisine, including traditional favorites like whole roasted pig, poi, poke, and lomi lomi salmon alongside entrées such as Moana’s Mahi Mahi with lemongrass and kaffir lime butter, huli huli chicken, and grilled flank steak with kalbi sauce. Guests can also enjoy local fried rice, Moloka’i sweet potatoes glazed with local honey, and a selection of tropical fruits. The meal concludes with island-inspired desserts including baked breadfruit with coconut syrup, pineapple upside down cake, and haupia cake. An open bar serving beer, wine, mai tais, and soft drinks complements the evening, while complimentary professional photography captures memories of this award-winning cultural celebration.
