Groups who want the North Shore to themselves rather than a coach itinerary. The day runs along the legendary stretch of coast to Pipeline at Banzai Beach, home of the monster winter waves and the surf legends who ride them, then Waimea Bay for swimming in clear water, and Waimea Falls for a short hike and a soak in the waterfall at the end of it. Turtle spotting in their natural habitat is part of the day. Lunch is at the North Shore food trucks – fresh poke, garlic shrimp, acai bowls – which is how people actually eat on that coast. Paddleboarding can be added on the day for $35 extra per person, which is not in the headline price. At six to seven hours it is a shorter day than the circle island tours, because it covers one coast properly instead of the whole island quickly.
