WHAT THE HALEAKALA & UPCOUNTRY PRIVATE TOUR ON MAUI INVOLVES
Maui’s summit and its Upcountry are two different worlds from the beach, and this tour gives you both in one day. You climb from sea level to the crater rim of Haleakala, more than 10,000 feet up, then come back down through Kula — the cool, green farm belt on the volcano’s western flank where the air is crisper and the views run all the way to the other islands.
HOW IT RUNS
Pickup is at 8:00am, either from your hotel in South Maui or, better for tour time, at Target in Kahului. The route takes in the Haleakala summit and then works down through the Upcountry stops: Kula Botanical Gardens, Ali’i Kula Lavender Farm, Kula Country Farms, the Ocean Vodka organic farm and a Maui chocolate stop. Daytime and sunset departures are both available.
