This Privacy Policy explains what information hawaiian-activities.com (the “Site”) collects, how it is used and the choices you have. The Site is operated by Discount Hawaiian Activities LLC (“Hawaiian Activities,” “we,” “us” or “our”).
1. Information you give us
Contact form, email and phone. When you use our contact form, you send us your name, email address, message and, if you choose, your phone number and the tour you are asking about. The form sends your message to our email inbox, and a copy is stored in the Site’s database so it is not lost if an email fails. If you email or call us, we receive the details you share.
Bookings. Tours are booked through FareHarbor, the reservation system used by the tour operators we work with. When you book, the names, contact details and payment details you enter in the FareHarbor checkout go to FareHarbor and to the operator running your tour. Your payment card details are handled by FareHarbor’s checkout; we do not receive or store your full card number. We may receive a record of bookings made through our Site so that we can help you with questions about them. FareHarbor’s handling of your information is covered by the FareHarbor Privacy Policy.
2. Information collected automatically
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive, and general device, browser and approximate location information. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can read how Google uses this data in the Google Privacy Policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Security and performance. The Site is delivered through Cloudflare and protected by security software. Like most websites, these services process your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages, block attacks and keep the Site available, and may set cookies that are needed for that purpose.
Accessibility settings. If you change settings in the Site’s accessibility menu, your choices are saved in your own browser so they stay in place as you move between pages.
We do not use advertising cookies or advertising tracking pixels on the Site.
3. How we use your information
- To answer your questions and help you with tours and bookings
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it
- To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse
- To meet legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share information with
- FareHarbor and the tour operator you book with, to process and run your booking
- Service providers that run the Site for us, such as our web host, Cloudflare and Google Analytics
- Authorities, where the law requires it or to protect our rights, our users or the public
5. Links to other websites
The Site links to other websites, including FareHarbor, tour operators and our social media pages. Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
6. How long we keep information
We keep messages you send us for as long as we need them to help you and to keep a record of our conversation. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention setting and then deleted by Google.
7. Your choices
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by emailing info@hawaiian-activities.com. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics as described above. For information held by FareHarbor or a tour operator about a booking, you can also contact them directly.
8. Children
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
