WHO IT IS FOR
Someone who wants an instructor’s full attention and does not want to share waves. The ratio is one student to one instructor for the full two hours, so correction is constant and you are never sitting out waiting your turn. Go Nuts Hawaii instructors are state certified and carry Hawaii’s surf instructor licence – the “blue card” – alongside CPR and life-saving training. Rather than committing to one break in advance, they pick between Laniakea, Freddy’s and River on the morning of your lesson according to wind and ocean conditions. Pick this if you learn fastest with someone correcting every paddle, or if you are nervous in the ocean and want an instructor within arm’s reach.
Consider instead: North Shore Ohana runs the same 1:1 ratio at Chun’s Reef for $225 at a single consistent break – better if you would rather know where you are surfing before you arrive. If you do not need exclusive attention, Ohana’s open group lesson is $120 at a 3:1 ratio.
