WHAT THE TOUR INVOLVES
You check in at the Paia shop for bike fitting and a safety briefing, then ride a narrated van tour up the slopes of Haleakala to roughly 6,500 feet. From just outside Haleakala National Park you ride downhill with your guide through eucalyptus forest, upcountry communities and coastal views, stopping at curated viewpoints for photos and local stories, with professional support throughout.
GUIDED OR SELF-GUIDED?
Maui Sunriders run both. The guided tour at $169 adds a guide riding with you, interpretive stops and ride support; the self-guided ride at $119 gives you the same van lift and gear but you choose your own pace and stops. First-timers and anyone nervous on long descents usually prefer the guided version.
