WHAT THE SURF LESSON INVOLVES
You will share the exclusive experience with members of your group only. Student to instructor ratio is a minimum of 3-1 Children under 8 are welcome. The North Shore Surf Girls is owned and run by real North Shore Surfer Girls. We are former pro surfers, trained lifeguards and have been featured in Blue Crush, Bay Watch, Fuel TV, MTV, Travel Channel and more.

You meet at North Shore Surf Girls – Haleiwa – API, Haleiwa, HI. We are a local company and treat our customers like family. WHO IT IS FOR
Families and small groups who would rather fill a morning than book a lesson and be finished in 90 minutes. Three hours covers the surf lesson, turtle viewing and shave ice, and you share it only with members of your own party rather than being mixed in with strangers. The student to instructor ratio is a minimum of 3:1. There is a three person minimum, and children under 8 are welcome – which is unusual, since most North Shore group lessons set the floor at 16. North Shore Surf Girls is owned and run by local women who are former pro surfers and trained lifeguards, with credits including Blue Crush, Baywatch, Fuel TV, MTV and the Travel Channel. You meet at Haleiwa; if they cannot reach you on the day, the fallback meeting point is Pua’ena Point. Surfboards and rash guards are included, with wetsuits and life jackets available as needed. Bring cash for a tip.
Consider instead: if you want the lesson without the turtles or the three-hour format, North Shore Ohana’s open group lesson is $120 for 90 minutes at Chun’s Reef – but it is 16 and over only, so it will not work for a family with younger children.
