WHAT THE SURF LESSON INVOLVES
This private experience is recommended for a first time surfer Or a seasonal surfer looking for the 1:1 focus and attention of student to instructor ratio. This is a exceptional way to be introduced to the sport for the first time. It is also a great way for a intermediate surfer to further advance their skill and ocean knowledge. Your lesson will be led by a professional Red Cross CPR certified instructor with a lifetime of North Shore ocean knowledge to ensure that your experience is safe, fun, exciting and full of laughs and smiles.
HOW IT RUNS
You meet at North Shore Ohana School of Surfing – Chuns Reef Beach, Chuns Reef Beach, Haleiwa, HI, 96712. This experience consist of a brief land lesson, safety briefing, ocean knowledge of reading waves, ocean conditions & surfing etiquettes when amongst a crowd. Followed up with a lot of wave riding! All Gear provided rash guard, leash and softtop or epoxy surfboard. We welcome all ages and skill levels.

WHO IT IS FOR
A first-time surfer, or a returning one, who wants a single instructor’s full attention and would rather know which break they are surfing before they arrive. The ratio is one student to one instructor, the lesson runs 1.5 or 2 hours, and it takes place at North Shore Ohana School of Surfing, Chun’s Reef Beach, Haleiwa, HI 96712 – the same spot every time. Your instructor is Red Cross CPR certified with a lifetime of North Shore ocean knowledge. The session splits between a land lesson, a safety briefing covering how to read waves and surfing etiquette in a crowd, and then a long stretch of wave riding. Rash guard, leash and a softtop or epoxy board are included. All ages and skill levels are taken.
