WHAT THE EFOIL LESSON INVOLVES
This hydrofoil is powered by an electric motor, so you won’t be working hard at all. Our instructors work personally with you on land and on the water to get you flying in your first session. Efoils are self-propelled all-electric hydrofoil boards. You may not be familiar with the term “hydrofoil”, but you probably have seen them.
HOW IT RUNS
You meet at Ke’ehi South Beach, 1640 Sand Island Parkway, Honolulu, HI, 96819. A hydrofoil is literally a wing that is attached to the bottom side of a surfboard (or boat) to create lift underwater. This allows the rider to lift the board above the surface of the water to achieve a flying sensation which is very exhilarating. An efoil combines the board with the hydrofoil and adds an electric propeller to generate enough thrust to achieve flight. This lesson includes: – Ocean safety procedures – Efoil safety procedures (life vest, helmet, and a whistle are provided) – Efoil operation – Respect for ocean resources – We maintain a student to instructor ratio of 1-to-2 or better.

WHO IT IS FOR
People who want a genuinely novel sensation rather than a traditional watersport. An eFoil is a board with a hydrofoil wing mounted underneath and an electric propeller driving it: the wing generates lift, the board rises clear of the surface, and you fly above the water rather than on it. Because it is powered, you are not working hard, and you do not need to catch a wave or paddle for one – which makes it accessible to people whose fitness or swimming would rule out a surf lesson. Instructors work with you on land first and then in the water, with the aim of having you flying within your first session.
