WHAT THE PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE SURF LESSON INVOLVES
The same closed-lesson structure Maui Wave Riders apply to their paddle lessons, run over two hours for surfing. Private is one-to-one; semi-private takes two to six people drawn only from your own party, so the instructor is never split across separate bookings.
HOW IT RUNS
About fifteen minutes on the sand first, covering the basics of surfing and water safety, then the balance of the two hours in the water with your instructor teaching you to catch your own waves. Board, rash guard, surf shoes and safety fins are all provided.
