WHY KALAPAKI BAY
Kalapaki is the most forgiving place to learn on Kauai. The bay is protected, the waves roll in gently rather than dumping, and the whole setup sits a short walk from Lihue rather than out on an exposed stretch of coast. Kauai Beach Boys have taught here since 1983, which on an island this size means the instructors know exactly where a beginner should sit at any given tide.
